It seems that officials of Farmers Insurance Company could have resorted to threatening an injured elderly man and his family.

In the following email that was sent to Citizens For Justice, you will notice a reference to Maple Street (We at Citizens For Justice replaced the real name of the street with Maple, in order to keep the senior citizen’s address private).
There is only one person connected with the case (apart from the citizen himself and his attorney) who knows the actual address of this citizen, and that is the attorney for Farmers Insurance Company.

At the senior citizen’s deposition, he was so fearful of his life after the attack by Farmers’ client that he did not want to give up his home address when he was asked for it. He said he feared harassment by the attacker. Now it seems he has the insurance company to fear as well.

Now you know why insurance company attorneys have such bad reputations. The senior citizen was assured by Farmers’ attorney that the information would be kept strictly private.

Even though the email was sent to Citizens for Justice, the message was clear to whom it was intended by them naming the street.

Citizens for Justice does not take threats like this casually. This will be our response.

1. We are going to copy onto 1,000 pages this story of Farmers Insurance versus this beaten and injured senior citizen.

2. We will then submit those 1,000 pages to over 1,300 search engines and directories so that anyone who enquires about insurance on the Internet through a search engine or directory will find dozens of links pointing to this tragedy.

3. Then we will find the addresses of the “Officials” at Farmers Insurance Co., and their lawyers. And finally, we will post their names and addresses at the end of every story regarding this case. Let’s see how they like it.

4. Next we will be contacting the news media: publications, TV and radio regarding this story.

Because of this threatening email we are more committed to reporting this story.
